Announcement on Women's Title

Under current regulations, any wrestler not available for 2 weeks or more to defend their title against any challenger will have their title stripped. This is of course to ensure that wrestlers, and especially their wily managers, do not find devious ways to wriggle their way out of title challenges.

Xtreme Diva looks set to forfeit her Women's Title as it has been revealed that she will clearly be unavailable for more than 2 weeks to defend it. As a result, this Friday, the Title will be declared vacant.

Wrestlers and managers, please take note.

Explosive Night!

To those who witnessed it live, last Friday was a night sure to be remembered for the RAW DEAL community. A total of FIVE Title Belts were contested, and blows were traded furiously as wrestlers jostled to claim superiority.

The only disappointment was the non-appearance of Hall and Nash to contest for the Tag Team Titles, despite the attendance of their manager, Asyraq. When asked, Asyraq was non-committal as to their whereabouts. Managerial issues, perhaps? In any case, Los Guerreros were able to relax and enjoy the night unchallenged. Also, there were doubts as to whether Sgt Slaughter would be around to defend both his titles.

The night kicked off with a challenge for the Spinner Belt Title. Torrie Wilson, the challenger, started off well with some good technical work. Unfortunately, her inexperience showed and she was unable to capitalise on her advantage. Defending Champion Eugene was able to claw back into the match and after a second giant head butt, Torrie slowly capitulated.

The World Heavyweight Title challenge was up next, and it was a Triple Threat between The Phenom, Mr Pay Per View and Victoria, No Way Out Style. From the get-go, the two males were pretty happy to ignore Victoria and go for each other's throats, and for awhile, that suited Victoria as well! But after a while, Victoria got bored and attempted to oversell a maneuver, resulting in her suddenly becoming a target. In the end Mr PPV was able to pin her with a high risk maneuver, leaving The Phenom frustrated at the loss of his Title without actually being the one pinned.

The challenge for the InterContinental Title was short-lived, with BFM making short work of veteran Ric Flair. BFM extends his long Title reign with yet another successful defense. Will he ever be dethroned?

The Hardcore Title match was up next, and it soon became clear that Sgt Slaughter would not be appearing. However, as he had not given earlier notice of his absence, the T.O. deemed his Title vacant. As such, Victoria, Vince McMahon, Chris Benoit and Shawn Michaels all took to the ring. Chris Benoit and Shawn Michaels appeared to be having a personal feud, Vince was a bystander for most of the match, and he was visibly upset at not getting more involved. Victoria was targetted every now and then, but was continuously protected by a flamboyant Shawn Michaels. In the end though, Shawn Michaels tapped out to a Crippler Crossface, as Chris Benoit once again emerged triumphant for a Title he has always claimed as his birthright.

Finally, also as a result of Sgt Slaughter non-appearance, the European Title was also vacant. Victoria once again entered the ring and attempted to exact revenge against Mr PPV. However, Mr PPV was on a high, determined to pick up his second title of the night, and gave her no chance whatsoever.

2 successful Title defences, and 2 new Champions, with Mr PPV holding two belts. It was ertainly a night to remember, and a particularly glorious night for the Judge Ben brand of wrestlers. Congratulations to all winners!

The Challenges keep coming!

Seems like tomorrow's going to be the busiest night ever since T.O. Andy launched the weekly event. Two more wrestlers have entered the fray and it looks like the only Title Holder who doesn't have to defend his/her title is XTreme Diva ... That's right, Sgt Slaughter has been challenged for his European Belt by The Largest Athlete in the WWE, managed by Asyraq! Will the Sarge be able to hold off two consecutive challenges?

The other wrestler seems to regard the Hardcore Title as his birthright and is chomping to regain the Title after losing it two weeks ago. Chris Benoit's (Asyraq) entry into the field means that the match for the Hardcore Belt is now a Fatal Fourway!

The deadline for tomorrow is today, but who knows? The night might be full of surprises...

Whatever the case, it's gonna be a long night....

Challenge Updates !

Tomorrow promises to be a frenzy of wrestling activity as the T.O. has announced not only the addition of one more wrestling match, but the transformation of 2 one-on-one challenges into Triple Threats! It's a night even Vince K McMahon would be proud of, and hell, he's involved in a match himself!

First up, Azmin has declared that Torrie Wilson will be challenging for Eugene's Spinner Belt. Can Torrie stand up to Eugene's Unique abilities with only 3 skirts to show for? We'll find out tomorrow.

Eugene's Manager, Judge Ben was seemingly annoyed by the challenge, and as a result he's added two more challenges for tomorrow in two existing matches! One is for the World Heavyweight Title, where he'll be fronting Mr Pay-Per-View, and the other's for the Hardcore Title, where the Chairman of the Board himself, Mr Vince McMahon will look to claim a belt for his own!

It's gonna be a cracker folks!

This week's Challenges!

We return you to our regular scheduled programming after last week's Royal Rumble match feature. Several challenges were announced today, and it appears there might be more if the rumours on the grapevine are to be believed.

Hall and Nash, managed by Asyraq will attempt to make Los Guerrero's reign as Tag Team Champions as short as possible. As veterans of the industry, they will be determined to pummel the Latino upstarts into submission.

Another veteran, Ric Flair (Amin Hafiz) has announced his intention to take on BFM for the Intercontinental Title. BFM, whom together with Xtreme Diva are the two current Champions who have held on to their respective titles the longest, will attempt to increase his title reign.

Azmin's Victoria challenge to The Phenom for The World Heavyweight Championship raised more than a few eyebrows. One cannot help but wonder if the Diva is just battling the voices in her head in agreeing to such a lopsided match.

Finally, Shawn Michaels (Amin Hafiz) has wasted no time in exercising his Royal Rumble ticket and has called out Sgt Slaughter for the Hardcore title. Will he be able to take down The Legend?

More challenges may be in store, watch this space!

Shawn Michaels v2.0 Triumphant!

Shawn Michaels v2.0 (Amin Hafiz) relived his 1995-96 glory last Friday when he emerged Champion of the Royal Rumble! As a result, he has earned the right to challenge for any Title Belt without the need to put up an ante.

The evening started slowly after it was revealed that two Superstars would not be appearing in the Royal Rumble, i.e. Shawn Michaels v1.0 aka HBK (Aboi - at work) and Matt Stryker (Hafyzan - striked out). However, it was a long overdue comeback for Azmin and his stable of female wrestlers as Torrie Wilson took to the stage with Chloe (her dog) at ringside. She started the event against The Leader of the Peepulation (Andy), who entered the ring with trademark grin and shades.

Torrie started the match well, landing a few well placed blows on The Leader, including a Modified Clutch which caused him to yelp in pain. HBK entered the ring soonafter, and he too began assaulting The Leader. However, Torrie began to annoy the other two with her constant peeking and attention soon turned to her, forcing her to fend off multiple blows. Shawn Michael attempted to throw her out of the ring but she managed to hang on. Unfortunately, she was unable to retaliate and she was weakening by the minute. A second attempt by HBK to throw her out succeeded, and Torrie was left on her bum rueing a quick end to her comeback match.

HBK then continued by clutching The Leader and immediately tried to throw him out of the ring, only to yell out in pain when The Leader jabbed him with his shades. The Leader then delivered some well placed blows but was unable to throw him out. HBK then returned fire with a multimaneuver that his opponent was unable to reverse, and a short while later, The Leader was flat on his face outside the ring!

Shawn Michaels basked in glory, revelling in his victory. By the end of the night though, he had not announced which belt he would be challenging for. Which would it be? And when? Only he himself knows, but the belt holders had best watch out, for you never know... when the Heartbreak Kid comes a-calling!

Friday the 13th: Sgt Slaughter does a Jason!

It was an eventful evening last Friday, and none moreso than for the man at the centre of it all, Sergeant Slaughter (Fiezan), who by the end of the evening, had Two Title Belts to his name.

The first match to get underway was the challenge for the Heavyweight Title, and Judge Ben sent out Kurt Angle to tackle the Wrestlemania Legend, The Phenom. Despite a good fight, The Phenom showed why the title belonged to him, despatching Kurt Angle and has now held the title for a month.

The Tag Team Title Belt had been changing hands in the past few weeks and this week was no different. Andy's Los Guerreros lied, cheated and stealed as they took out the Two Man Power Trip for the title.

The next match was Sgt Slaughter versus Chris Benoit (Asyraq). The sergeant was out to regain his Hardcore Title Belt after losing it last week, and did so in a breathless show of wrestling superiority.

Judge Ben's Eugene had a busy but successful day. He had to defend his Spinner Title against first Hafiz's Elijah Burke , then Hafiz's Your Freakin' Hero. Eugene must be wondering how much longer he'll be able to fight off the challenges.

The last weekmatch turned out to be an unscheduled Triple Threat match for the European Title Belt. With the Undertaker not around to defend the title, three wrestlers fought it out, Azim's Batista, Sgt Slaughter and Chris Benoit. It boiled down to a match between Benoit and Sergeant Slaughter, with Batista pretty much an outsider, and Sgt Slaughter emerged triumphant, adding the European Title to his Hardcore Title!

Contributors to the site welcome!

Feel free to comment anytime. Remember Raw Deal's all about participation so be sure your trash-talking is at its best!

If you want to post to the site, even better! Let me know, in the comments, drop an email and I'll invite you into the writer's list so you can contribute. Maybe you have a report for the match you were in, or maybe you want to give a monologue on how YOU deserve to be one of the champions, or why someone else shouldn't be. It's all good, don't forget that Attitude is key!

A few things to note on the site: On the left are the current holders of all the belts currently in contention. Just above the posting area is a list of the matches scheduled for the week. This will of course be subject to change as and when latest information is available. Just one thing though, whilst you can issue a challenge through this site, you still need to notify the Tournament Organiser, Andy, so that he can do the necessary scheduling and ensure the holder is aware of the challenge.

All set? Good, let's wrestle!

Home for Malaysian Raw Deal !

That's right folks, Ringsteps is now the unofficial home for WWE Raw Deal in Malaysia. Previously I was posting the news in my mutiply blog but after a while I realised that it deserved its own space. There's quite a bit of material that I want to post but I understand when some of you don't want to wade through my sentimental drivel and my daily going-ons to find the Raw Deal posts. Plus I'm also starting to find Multiply a bit unwieldy in comparison to blogspot so here we are.

It's still a work-in-progress, so you might see a few changes as I work on achieving a unique look for the site.

Nevertheless, welcome all, let's get you on to the RingSteps and let's get cracking!
